The topic of color deserves its own paragraph. I actualy watched this tutorial this evening and it does a good job showing the workflow, and the guy takes nice photos. 99% of what you will do in photoshop is relatively simple and doesn't require stressful technical steps, most artists use it simply as an extension of lightroom. Most good artists start an image in lightroom, and export an adjusted version into photoshop where they add in some additional filters, and then back to lightroom for some minor adjustments and image exports. Also, you should plan to get accustomed to using photoshop. I can't emphasize enough the need to watch tutorials. But its worth it because each tutor is different, and each photo is different. Yes, a lot of times, especially when the topic is tools themselves, you will hear similar patter. RE tutorials, yea it can be a drag but if you want to produce pro results, you need to grin and bear it. I've walked away for months at a time and when the time was right, got right back in the saddle like I never stopped shooting. I will even add that sometimes you need to walk away and take a bit of a break, I do this when I lose interest or I feel overwhelmed. Good to hear you're shooting a lot, that's great. Really open to any guides or more tips you could share from your years of experience, i already got a PLENTY good camera and lens setup, i shoot ok enough most of the time for me to have editing material, now i need to up my editing game! I really want to! I try a lot of things to match a look, i go out on hikes to take pictures and edit them similarly to some stuff i see on Behance, but i just don't get quite there, or am very far off! I get frustrated and think i shot trash in the end ): One thing I cannot emphasize enough is learn how to work with color, you can save yourself a lot of heartache by learning that now. This has been a bad experience, all the tutorials i've seen on youtube are either terrible, indigestible or gloss over the basics and stay there, if they are advanced they require prior knowledge i do not know! You need to watch tutorials from a lot of different instructors. You need to be taking a lot of photos and doing a lot of editing.
